It smells exactly as described, just like a real fig and fig tree. Very photorealistic. Amazing! I'm a big fan of all Diptyque scents. My favourite is Eau de Peau.

Sirene opens with sweet cherry, like those scented erasers. Middle notes of oud smells mildly incensy, which lingers. Very feminine. I could see someone wearing a beautiful ruffled floral maxi dress on a daytime date with this scent on. 7.5/10 (compared to so many other impressive perfumes)

I bought a sample of this as I am trying to find a gothic scent for myself, but was left a little disappointed. Amber doesn't work well on my skin but niche houses (particularly Amouage) can pull it off, however, this was just overwhelming along with incense. This fragrance is really for someone who loves both of those notes.
The metallic undertones faded quickly and I couldn't pick up the sweeter accords such as vanilla. I haven't tried Van Py Rhum but I'm guessing this is the edgier, less sweet brother. It is also more masculine due to the heavy amber notes. The projection is strong.
I love this perfume and have been buying it regularly for nearly a year now. My only recommendation is if you are able to track the purchases could your complimentary sample be the same perfume? Complimentary samples are not consistent either but it would be great if they were.
