The opening is deceptively sharp and fresh, a one-two punch of leathery saffron and crisp apple, bathed in a haze of that smoky, medicinal Mancera oud. The scent melts into a thick, juicy amber that smells like a river of molten honeycomb coursing around pipe tobacco, dried plums, and fruitcake. Red Tobacco is so confidently spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon, it practically sizzles. The scent is toned down by the slightly dirty, smoky oud note and a patchouli note that smells like damp dark chocolate.

Tom Ford is a yes! Grey Vetiver is an excellent scent
Tom Ford is a yes! Grey Vetiver is an excellent scent, it's a viable alternative to Guerlain's Vetiver EDT. My only reservation about Tom Ford's version is it's similarity to Guerlain in that it is a fairly short-lived experience and is more for the wearer. It doesn't really "project" for an EDP or last as expected. That being said, it is still an excellent choice. I'm very happy with having tried it. Thanks guys,
